Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use environmentalhygienecompany.com or hire Environmental Hygiene Company LLC for services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Environmental Hygiene Company LLC ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our website, requesting a quote, or hiring us for services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our website or services.
About Us
Environmental Hygiene Company LLC is a South Carolina limited liability company providing junk removal, bulk removal, and turnover trash-out services in the greater Charleston, SC area. We're licensed and insured.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are based on the information you provide (job description, photos, square footage, access conditions, etc.) and on what we observe at the property. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise in writing. If the actual scope, volume, weight, access, or condition of the work differs materially from what was described, we may need to revise the price before or during the job. We'll let you know before doing additional work that changes the agreed price.
Scheduling, Arrival, and Access
We'll do our best to honor scheduled appointment windows, but timing may shift due to weather, traffic, prior-job runover, or other factors outside our reasonable control. We'll communicate changes via text or call as soon as we know about them.
You're responsible for ensuring we can safely access the job site. If we arrive and cannot reasonably access the property, perform the work, or locate the items to be removed, we may charge a trip fee.
Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment without charge if you let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled window. Same-day cancellations after we've dispatched a crew may be subject to a trip fee equal to our minimum service charge.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the service unless we've agreed in writing to different terms. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice. Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by South Carolina law and may be referred for collection. You agree to pay reasonable collection and legal costs we incur recovering amounts you owe.
Junk Removal
When you authorize us to haul away items, you represent that those items are yours to dispose of (or that you have the owner's permission), and that they don't contain anything we haven't agreed to take.
Once items are loaded onto our truck and you've signed off on the job, title and risk of loss transfer to the Company, and we'll dispose of, donate, or recycle the items at our discretion in accordance with local rules.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services, our website, or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of use, or damage to property arising from pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or normal wear.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability covered by our general liability insurance up to applicable policy limits).
SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your mobile number to Environmental Hygiene Company — by texting or calling us, or verbally during an estimate or service — you consent to receive SMS messages from us related to your service, including replies, quotes, appointment confirmations, arrival notices, follow-ups, and invoices.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts will not affect the services you've already hired us to perform.
How we handle the information you share with us is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share, sell, rent, or lease mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Website Use
The content on environmentalhygienecompany.com — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by the Company or our licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, or scrape the site without our written permission.
The website is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
Photography and Marketing
We may take before-and-after photos of completed work for our own portfolio, social media, and marketing. These photos won't include identifying information about you (name, address, license plates, etc.) without your permission. Let us know in writing if you'd prefer we not photograph your job at all and we'll respect that.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You and the Company agree that any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing anything, both sides agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other at the contact information below.
